Opinión de un comprador: I urge everyone to check their copies, it would seem either the pages are completely out of order or the page headings are printed incorrectly. Either way, a shambles of an edition, I know of 2 copies that are like this so not a one off. Very poor of Canterbury Classics to allow this into print.

Opinión de un comprador: I have just re-read this as my daughter is studying it for A level - it was a text I studied at University, where it was lauded as "relevant", "cynical", "insightful" etc of the American Dream and human condition. For me then, in among a study module of Vonnegut, Heller, Bellow, Ellison, it lacked quality and depth and was not "up there".
Coming to it again now, I am surprised at how dated and hackneyed it seems; how misogynist in its depiction and exposition of its female characters; how lightweight and unengaging all the characters are.
For me it is not a classic; its themes have been better explored elsewhere. I will be interested to see what my A levelling daughter makes of it and how she is encouraged to look at it. ..

Opinión de un comprador: El libro me gustó bastante. Es un poco difícil de proseguir para estudiantes de inglesa; pide un esfuerzo superior pero llega muy bien para obtener vocabulario.
Con respecto a la editorial, está saliendo muy barata y se aprecia: El manantial es reducida, con las líneas muy juntas y márgenes pequeñas. A mí no me molesta y lo quiero sobre un texto mejor editado y más costosa, pero sí que hay a quien le puede irritar la lectura.

The ornate language used by Fitzgerald enlivens the golden age of art and takes you to the bygone era where car horns were still above the rearview mirrors! The characters are memorable and the evalúes are engaging. Overall a truly amazing piece of creation. A masterstroke, if you must! This is truly the quintessential “Great American Novel”.

Opinión de un comprador: I hadn't heard really taken any interest into the story of Gatsby until I'd seen the film, with all its spectacular fireworks and digital imagery, it really painted the setting of the film as a grand, luxurious setting. The film certainly surpassed my expectations of what the story would be and so pack me on the path to find and complete the book. Very Easy read, great little novel for anyone with a few days to indulge into the life of an interesting man.
